Schema Study is a free, open-source web application that converts a spreadsheet of course terms into an AI-powered study coach for biology students. Using a Socratic questioning approach, the app provides personalized formative feedback and guided inquiry without revealing direct answers. During a pilot in a 225-student introductory biology course:

72% of students would reuse Schema Study in a future biology course
Each additional day per week of use more than doubled the likelihood of recommending it to peers
Increased student AI self-efficacy and beliefs about AI relevance to their education and careers
