Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Ecology, Behavior & Evolution at UC San Diego. My work runs on two tracks: building generative AI tools that support active learning, and studying what actually happens when those tools land in real classrooms. I also teach experimental design, statistics, and data science — the craft of turning biological questions into rigorous answers.
